The Mercer house has been placed at its new home next to the Community Center on Alister Street. The process of making the Port A Museum a reality has begun! PAPHA will be moving the 1900s kit Mercer house to live beside the Community Center soon and the walk can memorialize a loved one or recognize a family, friends, businesses, organizations --anything you choose. The 4-inch by 8-inch bricks cost $50 and include three lines of laser engraving limited to 14 characters on each line. Along with brick pavers to line the walkway to the first historical museum in Port Aransas, blocks also will be sold.
